Rachel and Eric are newly engaged and have just moved into their own home. While Eric is away on a business trip Rachel is fidgety with boredom. Rather than stare at home design magazines and pick paint colours all day she becomes infatuated with the attention she is getting from her neighbour- a young built mechanic. Over a period of days she continues to flirt with her neighbour from across the street but when he takes her advances to be real boundaries are forgotten.
